The people upstairs were always throwing away good stuff, I mean really good stuff.

The one that sticks out the most right now is a FULLY WRAPPED gift, bow and all. I pulled it out and when we opened it we found it was a really nice casserole dish with a lid. We used it for about five years before it broke.

Oh yea, chris and lolnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-344805953018362363.post-79115698605045945462009-06-10T11:52:13.981-06:002009-06-10T11:52:13.981-06:00I love your fun finds. I think DDers are a subcategory of hunter-gatherers, along with yard salers, wild mushroom hunters, and bulk shoppers. Fun stuff; thanks for sharing.Lindshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04639873112941644729noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-344805953018362363.post-75320256667613140552009-06-08T15:59:14.736-06:002009-06-08T15:59:14.736-06:00I guess you could say I DD at my Mother-in-law'...I guess you could say I DD at my Mother-in-law's house. She's notorious for giving her old stuff away so she can buy new stuff. I love it. We practically furnished our whole house with her hand-me-downs; two kitchen sets, washer, dryer, couches, end tables, the list could go on.

I'm so glad I get to follow you on your blog!Jesse, Christa and Marshallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12989037074243190111noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-344805953018362363.post-80573543092880247672009-06-06T10:43:09.066-06:002009-06-06T10:43:09.066-06:00Paul snagged a piano left in one of their rental p...Paul snagged a piano left in one of their rental properties. It sat in storage for about a year, and no one claimed it. We had a piano guy take a look at it, and ended up bringing it home and having it cleaned, repaired and tuned for $290. Not a bad price for a nice little piano!!!Paulhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18233658364873845587noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-344805953018362363.post-22115704097726436502009-06-04T00:58:32.323-06:002009-06-04T00:58:32.323-06:00Hey, just found this blog. Like your futon, it was right next to the dumpster, so that made it ok. My brother, who is a very good woodworker and used to work at a carpentry shop in town, dumpster dives for wood at carpentry shops. He gets awesome scraps like Lara Zierke https://www.blogger.com/profile/14678809883294746934noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-344805953018362363.post-33441714696710299752009-06-03T20:43:24.225-06:002009-06-03T20:43:24.225-06:00Way to go. I wasn't the only one who did it either. theres nothing Tiffany Jensonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10557422900966401586noreply@blogger.com
